Github access tokens

Repo usage with username and password on github is deprecated.

Use Personal access tokens: https://github.com/settings/tokens

or: Github -> Settings -> Developer Settings -> Personal access tokens -> Tokens (classic)

To store the token (credential) for your machine:

git config --global credential.helper store
(store is example)

after that:

git push

Login with username and Token!

Linux Desktop with Apple Keyboard

I like to have < > ° etc. in a correct way of use on my keyboard.

Usage:

  • temoporary setting:

    vi /sys/module/hid_apple/parameters/iso_layout 1 -> 0

  • permanent setting:

    vi /etc/modprobe.d/hid_apple.conf options hid_apple iso_layout=0

Update initramfs bootfile:

update-initframs
